Rebecca is painter with particular interest in capturing people and animals in natural surroundings. Her knowledge of color and light allows her to work from photographs...bringing life, realism and movement to her subjects in oil on canvas.

Mrs. Haydock has studied with various artists at Cornell University, and in New Mexico, New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. She studied with internationally recognized portrait master, Daniel Greene, Toas Portrait Society founding member and student of Richard Schmid, Seamus Berkeley, and master watercolorist Alex McFarlane, among others. She is a member of the Portrait Society of America.

Rebecca's portraits are becoming widely collected as she is particularly known for her realistic portrayal of the subject and ability to bring animation and light into work based on photographs — a sometimes "flat" source. Her portrait work has recently expanded to include dogs, insects, crustaceans, nude sketches, and soon, equestrian portraits. Her fly fishing and trout paintings are receiving recognition and being offered in giclee form. An interesting fact, Rebecca is ambidextrous with a paintbrush and often relies on both hands when painting a large canvas.
